ANIMALS AND PLANTS COMMON IN THE TUNDRA BIOME...
To the left, you can see an Arctic Fox. They have a high tolerance for the cold. As you can see in the picture, they sleep with their tail wrapped around them as a blanket for warmth.
Arctic Tundra Wolves are wolves that live in the tundra biome. They prey on arctic hares (below) and arctic foxes (above). They live in tundra biomes from the european and asian parts of Russia and Kamchatka and extreme northern part of Scandinavia.
Arctic Hares look similar to rabbits. A difference between the two physically wise is that the Arctic Hare has shorter ears. An Arctic Hare can run up to 60 km/h (40mph).
To the left you can see a picture of Labrador Tea. In the more southern areas that it grows, it grows straight up while in the more northern areas, it creates a carpet and stays low to the ground.
This is a picture of an Arctic Willow. These Willows are one of the common plants in Tundra biomes. They mostly grow in Tundra that is in northern Alaska and northern Canada.
To the side, you can see a bearberry. These berries grow from northern California to Alaska and in east from Oregon to Washington and to the mountains of west Montana. They are called bearberries because bears enjoy eating them.
